Where to buy or commission your Mandarin ducks painting?

Here!

Let us talk about buying or commissioning a mandarin duck painting. I always accept mandarin duck commissions because working on a painting showing mandarin ducks is a delight. I like customers to be as specific as they like to be. How would you prefer your mandarin ducks?Should the ducks be side-to-side, drake or duck taking front stage? Are they swimming or resting, do you need a background of a lotus pond, a bamboo pond, a forest? Mountains in the back, overflying birds? Should the mandarin ducks be regular, that is colourful, or should they be white? Should the lotus flower be pink, or white? Shall I draw a decorative border be gold, blue or green? Or perhaps this is all too much and you just like to order mandarin ducks and you allow me to surprise you?

Depending on whether I am working on other commissions, I will start instantly and I keep customers posted with photo updates. I do this because that provides the customer with the feeling of regularly visiting my workroom and watching the artwork grow.

Once your mandarin duck paining is ready, I ship it safely stored inside a sturdy artist tube. This tube is brand new and should be re-used till it falls apart. I very carefully pack and ship with track & trace. Before unpacking, please read the unpacking instructions.

After that…the mandarin ducks will delight you and fill your room with feelings of happiness, love, and fidelity.

Mandarin Ducks & Fengshui

Fengshui advises you to show mandarin ducks in your home to enhance and attract love. The importance of Mandarin Ducks for love is evident from the fact that in real life these are one partner ducks. If they get separated, they are unable to live. Whether this is always the case, I do not know but I have seen ducks and swans staying close by their dead partners (for days) and it breaks your heart. My guess is, the fidelity of swans and mandarin ducks is more than just a myth.

This is a large commission on Arches paper 46 by 61 cm (18-24 inches) which allows for plenty of lotus flowers to surround the loving couple. The frame is done in dark green. The lotuses are pale pink. The small island on which the mandarin ducks rest together is mostly Naples Yellow.

This commission costs: 177 Euros, including packaging and shipping within the EU.

Commissions done on 31-41 cm or 36-51 cm have less room for lotuses but have as such charm as the larger one.

A few commissions....

A minimalist commission, just one couple resting whilst staying close to each other. This one has sold, have a look for another one in our Shop-section Fine Art.

Most mandarin duck commissions show spring-time, but this rare one shows mandarin ducks surrounded by evergreen, thus suitable for Midwinter, Yule, Christmas, or Hanukah.

The most preferred commission: mandarin ducks closely together taking a swim in their lotus filled duck pond.
