Hi there! Little Wood Mouse

Hi there, little sweet scurrying wood mouse. You have found a few acorns? Will you take them home for the winter?

Oh, I see you already started nibbling one one of them! Are you so hungry?

It is lovely to draw you. I will soon give you a few thousands little hair, you little furry thing.

Once I have given you an eye, you live in my imagination (other than in a simple sketch or outline).

Your Latin name is Apodemus sylvaticus.

I am going to give you a name: Sylvia. It means 'Spirit of the Wood'.

Later, I will give you colours.
