Low Stimuli Minimalist Butterfly Drawing

Hand-drawn. No AI involved: just old-school art made by Paula Kuitenbrouwer.

Hope is symbolized by butterflies, and it's not just a fleeting notion. Butterflies are reminders of beauty and resilience. Why do butterflies embody hope? Because they are beautiful and delicate beings who go through remarkable transformations and metamorphoses.

Starting as eggs, they embark on an incredible journey into caterpillars before burgeoning into stunning butterflies. Their three-stage evolution reminds us of our lives: from baby to teenager to adult.

Butterflies make us happy. Watch how people react on fluttering butterflies: they try to have them land on their hands. They shout little cries of admiration, and have smiles breaking though on their faces.

Just like these exquisite creatures, we too can adapt and grow through the hardships we face, emerging stronger and more vibrant than before.

This mounted artwork captures this essence with a minimalist drawing. It is primarily crafted using graphite pencils. This method allows for a focus on detail.

In my drawing, you will find three (day & night) butterflies.

Top: Hibernia defoliaria (Winter moth) - a symbol of endurance through the cold season.

Middle: Sphinx deilephila (Hawk Moth) - a representation of agility and grace.

Lowest: Papilio mahoan (Swallowtail) - the epitome of transformation and beauty.

This minimalist art catches the eyes (always hungry for details), but it doesn't pop out in a neutral-colour home.

Dimension: 8 by 10 inches. That is 20 by 25 cm.
